Five days, one mission: shaping sustainability from within Last week in Hamburg, we celebrated the successful conclusion of the Chief Sustainability Manager inhouse certificate course at Körber Technologies, organized and delivered by the RWTH International Academy. Over five intensive days, participants from multiple locations collaborated on tailored solutions for Körber’s products and services, with a special focus on circular economy principles: closing material loops and unlocking new value streams. 🔍 Instructor Ixchen Elias reflects on the week: “In 2025, companies are under increasing pressure to secure resources, reduce supply chain vulnerabilities, and navigate volatile market conditions. The availability of critical raw materials, rising input costs, and geopolitical uncertainties have made supply chain resilience and resource efficiency top strategic priorities. Regulatory frameworks like the CSRD or the ESPR remain relevant – but it’s the economic necessity of building robust, future-proof operations that brings sustainability to the core of business strategy. The Chief Sustainability Manager course prepares you for precisely this: During an intensive week of training, our participants learned how to develop an effective sustainability strategy - with clear goals, measurable KPIs and a roadmap that suits the company. These are the moments where language skills, confidence, and a true sense of belonging grow.
